Last week I asked you to share your memories of 9/11, and I received some remarkable reminiscences of that historic day. Thank you for sharing such personal moments. We heard from people who lived in New York City that day, who were traveling to NYC that morning, and who booked tickets for passengers on a plane that was attacked.
We’d love to hear from more of you as we prepare a special section to mark the 10th anniversary of the terrorist attacks on New York City and the Pentagon in Washington, D.C.
Please email us and share your thoughts about that awful morning and its aftermath. How did you react? How did it affect your life? Did you know anyone any of the victims or first-responders? Did you participate in any fundraisers? How has it changed your life today?
What do you remember? Please share your thoughts. Please email me at email@example.com.
Tucson Chamber Artists is helping to mark the anniversary with music. TAC, in partnership with Tucson Symphony Orchestra and UA Presents, will perform Remembrance Renewal on Sept. 11 at UA’s Centennial Hall.
This special concert will feature a performance of Mozart’s Requiem as well as the world premiere of a new work written for TCA by acclaimed composer Stephen Paulus.
Ticket prices range from $15 to $60, but one lucky Explorer reader can win a pair of premium tickets just by emailing or writing us by Sept. 2. Thank you to Eric Holtan from TCA for donating the tickets for our giveaway. Check out the submission information on this page.
I look forward to hearing from you!
