To mark its 100-year anniversary, Westward Look Resort is holding a Call for Treasures contest. Former guests of Westward Look are being asked to submit photos and souvenirs from their stays at the resort, from which a selection of entries will be published in the upcoming book, “History of Westward Look: 100 Years in the Making.”
In 1912, while Arizona was becoming a state, a couple began building their dream home nestled in the foothills of the Santa Catalina Mountains surrounded by the Sonoran Desert. Today, that home is known at Westward Look Wyndham Grand Resort and Spa.
Judy Gutierrez, a server at Westward Look Wyndham Grand Resort and Spa, was recognized as Arizona’s Employee of the Year by the Arizona Hotel and Lodging Association.

The couple’s fee includes supplies to build a gingerbread house, wine and appetizers.
