"Solar Power 101: A community education series on solar energy," is being presented Monday, May 4, at the Oro Valley Public Library.
In the summer of 1609, Galileo turned his telescope to the night sky and forever changed our view of the universe and ourselves, scientifically proving the Copernican theory of a sun-centered solar system.
Volunteers had to track down extra chairs on Tuesday, Dec. 16, to accommodate the crowd that turned up in a meeting room at the Wheeler Taft Abbett Branch Library for Solar Power 101.
“Solar Power 101: A community education series on solar energy,” comes to Marana this Tuesday, Dec. 16.
No one considers it the “magic bullet,” but area leaders and utilities think that expanding the region’s solar power offerings will put a dent in our dependence on fossil fuels.
