1. Couple shouting "revolution!" kills three in Las Vegas
It’s tough to turn tragedy into something positive.
I hit the gym at the crack of dawn Saturday. I cranked up the bike trainer to get my heart rate up. And there to expedite that on the TV screen was, Cindy Crawford having her chin held high by some handsome guy named Jean-Louis Sebagh. Turns out he’s a “cosmetic chemist.” Who knew there was such a thing. There was no sound, but I’m a quick study and after several Crawford poses titled “Cindy Crawford 45” and shots of this Sebagh guy harvesting a special melon, then holding up a test tube with melon liquid that Cindy smears on her face, I’m convinced that this is the only way to age properly.

The SaddleBrooke Rotary Club’s 14th annual Fore for Kids Charity Golf Tournament will take place Friday at the Mountain View Golf Club in SaddleBrooke. All proceeds will benefit youth charities in Pinal and Pima counties.
The SaddleBrooke Rotary Club is now accepting registration for its 14th annual Fore for Kids Charity Golf Tournament. It will take place Friday, Nov. 4, at the Mountain View Golf Course at the Mountain View Golf Club in SaddleBrooke. All proceeds will benefit youth charities in Pinal and Pima counties.
The Oro Valley Optimist Club will hold its annual golf tournament and fundraiser, “Scramble for Youth,” this Friday starting at 12:30 p.m. at the El Conquistador Country Club, 10555 N. La Cañada Drive.

The Oro Valley Optimist Club is a small but mighty group. Its 19 members contribute hours of their time organizing its annual golf tournament, the proceeds from which go toward bettering the lives of youth in the community through a variety of local programs.
