The 2014 horse races at Rillito Park Horse Race Track, Tucson's historical landmark for quarter horse racing since 1940, run for eight consecutive weekends (Saturday-Sundays), February 8 - March 30. Live betting, cold beer, and fast horses. It's the birthplace of "the photo finish," camera system that helps identify the winner in those "neck and neck" races, and the track is now on the National Register of Historic Places.
Thoroughbred and Quarter Horse racing at Rillito Park Race Track, 4502 N. First Ave., has been canceled this weekend because of expected inclement weather.
