The Pima Community College softball team (8-13, 6-8 in conference) had its offense clicking on Tuesday but Central Arizona College did as well as the Lady Aztecs were swept at the West Campus.

July 20, 2005 - For the second straight year, the Pima Community College baseball program has lured away one of the Northwest's and Foothills' top baseball coaches. Catalina Foothills High School head coach Jason Hisey has signed on at PCC to become the program's pitching coach. Hisey, who has led the Falcons to Class 4A state runner-up in three of the past four seasons, did so on strong, deep pitching rotations.

Aug. 18, 2004 - It was nearly four decades ago when Joe Acker found himself out of college and working for the Arizona Highway Department. Up until that point in his life, whether it was playing basketball or baseball in southeastern Pennsylvania, sports had always been a significant part of his life. While working on that part-time job on the roads in Flagstaff during August 1966, Acker was finding it difficult coming to terms with the end of his playing days.
