(NAPSI)—Emerging research suggests a link between obesity and the risk of developing and dying from many common cancers. Obesity is quickly overtaking tobacco as the leading preventable cause of cancer, with as many as 84,000 cancer diagnoses attributed to obesity each year in the United States. It is also estimated that obesity or excess weight contributes to as many as one in five cancer-related deaths.
As Marana continues to grow, the town has the challenge of keeping things working as smoothly as possible, to avoid the bureaucratic gridlock that hampers so many larger communities. They have looked at ways of making the experience of working with the town as easy as possible, streamlining things wherever they can. Some of these plans have been integrated into the latest edition of the strategic plan, where improved communication is a major theme. The town’s website is another key aspect to these goals.
