Five candidates are seeking election for three open seats in this year’s race for the Metro Water District’s Board of Directors.
After devastating floods in Arizona in 1976, 1977 and 1978, the Arizona State Legislature established county flood control districts as special taxing districts to provide floodplain management and flood control improvements.
