Over the past year, the town has committed to enhancing its signature events. We have recruited sponsors to help offset costs, put a team of staff and volunteers in place to plan and carry out the events and formed partnerships with civic organizations and homeowners associations to increase attendance.

Thousands attend our town events every year. From the excitement of our annual fireworks show to the magic of our Christmas tree lighting ceremony, we are proud to host fun-filled signature events that build community pride.
Fireworks planned in Oro Valley
Fun on the Fourth is back. The Town’s annual Star Spangled Spectacular is coming to Crossroads at Silverbell Park on July 4 with food, fun and a show that will light up the sky with more than 800 fireworks.
The first Saturday of every month means music. The Marana Concerts in the Park began the first week in May and will continue into October at Crossroads at Silverbell Park.
Celebrate National Trails Day with a free bike ride or walk during the Town’s Cruise the Cruz event June 7 at 6:30 p.m.
From bluegrass and country to flamenco and jazz fusion, a musical menu this summer is sure to entertain all tastes.
Southern Arizona Arts and Cultural Alliance and the Town of Marana present free live music the first Saturday of the month May to October. Marana Concerts in the Park will feature some of the best local performers in the region, from bluegrass and country to flamenco and jazz fusion. Attendees are incouraged to bring their own chair or blanket to enjoy the show.
The Town’s popular Movie in the Park series continues Saturday with “Here Comes the Boom” at Crossroads at Silverbell Park. The free movie starts at 7 p.m.
Work off Thanksgiving calories before you even take them in during the inaugural Turkey Trot on Nov. 2 at Crossroads at Silverbell Park.
The Fourth of July means fireworks, family time, and celebrating the nation’s independence. With the holiday just around the corner, the towns of Marana and Oro Valley are each gearing up to host events that will combine those elements for a fun-filled evening.
