The District 5 Little League All-Star Tournaments and area teams won two of the three baseball titles.
The District 5 Little League baseball tournaments have all but come to a close. Just two area teas are still alive and when the weekend is over four area teams will have won district titles.
The first week of the District 5 Little League All-Star tournaments are over and things are really starting to take shape. After a full week and a busy weekend one champion has been crowned, and the championship brackets are set.
The Xpress Baseball Club, a team that consists of players who live on the northwest side, has recently adopted the Cañada Del Oro Wash. The team will serve the community by removing trash from the wash a couple times a year.
Oro Valley’s Coronado Little League held its opening ceremony April 2, complete with a carnival, appearances by UA mascot Wilbur the Wildcat and Tucson Padres mascot Kino Bambino, and lots of fun Little League competition. Coronado LL sends kids to UA clinic
Little League baseball and softball registrations are available this Saturday, Jan. 30, across greater Tucson.
Coronado Little League is holding its spring registration on Saturday, Jan. 9 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and again Saturday, Jan. 23 from 1 to 4 p.m.
A march and rally in support of the Naranja Townsite Park bond election begins at 10 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 5.
