Man says he strangled 81-year-old NW resident; likely to receive life sentence
Police in Santa Monica, Calif., on Tuesday morning arrested a 48-year-old transient suspected of murdering an elderly Northwest Tucson woman in May, according to the Pima County Sheriff’s Department.
Investigators don’t know where Dorothy Carras’ killer is, but on Tuesday, June 24, they did identify the man they believe raped and killed the 81-year-old a month earlier.
An 81-year-old woman found murdered in her Northwest home May 23 died of asphyxiation, according to autopsy results released late last week.
