Pollock went 3-for-5 with a two-run triple and two singles for Reno. Aces starter Patrick Corbin pitched 6.1 innings and allowed three earned runs. Sam Demel and Taylor Sinclair completed scoreless outings out of Reno's bullpen to close the game.

The Padres scored twice in the first inning on a two-run single by Jedd Gyorko. The T-Pads took a 3-0 lead in the third when Matt Clark hit a double off the left field wall. Matt Palmer was able to leave the bases loaded in the third inning, but did surrender one Aces run in the rally. Reno pushed ahead with three runs, all with two outs, in the fifth inning. The Aces never relinquinshed the lead after the fifth and won their ninth game in ten tries.
