The Pima Community College women’s basketball team (2-4, 0-1 in conference) dropped a close game against Eastern Arizona College 79-76 in its ACCAC conference opener on Wednesday at the West Campus.

Holly Bolen (Tucson Magnet HS), playing against her old team, finished with a team-high 21 points. She hit three 3-pointers and had 17 points in the second half.

Bolen hit a three-pointer that put Pima up 73-69 but Eastern cut the lead to two points on its next trip down court with 1:22 left. The Aztecs would later trail 77-74 with 17 seconds left when Rachel Williams (Cesar Chavez HS) was fouled from behind the three-point line. She would hit the first two free throws but miss the third.

The Aztecs had three other players score in double figures. Alicia Jones (Palo Verde HS) had 12 points and Raja Moreno-Ross (Tucson Magnet HS) and Felicia Foster (Peoria HS) each contributed with 11 points.

The Aztecs will host Chandler-Gilbert Community College at the West Campus next Wednesday, Nov. 20 at 5:30 p.m.
