Ironwood Ridge 60, Rincon 13

Tyler D'Amore threw for 289 yards and six touchdowns as the Nighthawks moved to 3-3 on Homecoming Night. He was nearly perfect with 19 completions on 20 attempts, and also became the school's all-time leader in passing yardage.

Gabe Campa scored four touchdowns, rushed for 68 yards, and caught three passes for 43 yards. Austin Ballard caught three touchdown passes and had four catches for 71 yards. The Nighthawks gained more than 500 yards offensively.

This Friday, the Nighthawks travel to Tucson.

Mountain View 44, Tucson 34

The Mountain Lions (2-4), playing their second tight game in a row. Mountain View had built a 30-14 halftime lead.

Dillon Davidson carried 11 times for 126 yards, while Aaron Noel gained 113 yards rushing on just five carries. Cris Thorson completed five of nine passes for 81 yards. He also ran for two touchdowns.

"Our special teams came through," said coach Justin Argraves. "We recovered an onside kick and averaged 40 yards a punt."

Tucson's quarterback Shakir Smith, a two-way threat running and passing the football, was held in check for the first half.

"We did a good job containing Shakir Smith for 2-1/2 quarters," Argraves said. "We need to learn to finish games. We got a little complacent."

This Friday, the Mountain Lions visit Rincon.

Pusch Ridge 15, Mammoth 8

The Lions (4-1) rallied in the final few minutes to win over San Manuel on Homecoming Night.

After being blanked in the first half, quarterback Tyler Goodwillie completed a 29-yard touchdown pass to Daniel McLeod to make it 8-7. With less than 2-1/2 minutes left in regulation, Goodwillie connected with Tyler Vance for a 10-yard scoring pass to give the Lions the lead.

Goodwillie completed six of 14 passes for 73 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions. His running led both teams with 104 yards on 16 carries. Vance ran it 16 times for 85 yards, and also caught three passes for 16 yards. McLeod caught two balls for 53 yards.

"In the second half, our offense clicked," said coach Bob Vance. "We had a 70-yard scoring drive, and another for about 60 yards."

"The defense did great again. They (San Manuel) started almost every drive in our territory, but our defense stopped them all but one time."

This Friday, the Lions travel to Canyon State.

Pueblo 33, Marana 3

The Tigers (0-5) stayed in the game through the first half, trailing 13-3 at intermission.

On the receiving end, Solomon Stokes caught four passes for 34 yards, while Kord Catt had four catches for 32 yards.

Randy LaFaye blasted a 48-yard field goal for the Tigers, who travel to Flowing Wells this Friday.
