The Pima Community College men’s soccer team (5-1, 5-1 in conference) set an early tone scoring four goals in the first half to beat Paradise Valley Community College 6-1 on Tuesday at the Kino North Grandstand.

JC Henson (Buena HS) had a hat trick for the Aztecs, getting them on the board with his goal in the 4th minute. Aldo de Cima (Cooper Canyon HS) quickly made it a 2-0 score with his goal in the 5th minute. Paradise Valley cut Pima’s lead in half with a goal in the 10th but the Aztecs responded with Alexis Medina (Nogales HS) who scored twice in the 21st and then a penalty kick in the 27th minute. He also had an assist in Henson’s first goal.

Henson led the way in the second scoring in the 60th minute and sealing the game with a header from a corner kick that found the back of the net in the 70th.

The Aztecs held Paradise Valley to two shots on goal and goalkeeper Hector Zambrano (Pueblo HS) finished with one save.
