It has been a busy few weeks for the Arizona football team. Over the past 13 days the team has added five verbal commitments.

It all started off with Samuel Morrison a defensive back from the Washington D.C. area who is also the son of former Wildcat Darryl Morrison, a member of the Desert Swarm era defense.

Morrison unofficially visited and received his offer on June 6 and committed less than a week later.

“My mom and dad went there so I grew up always wanting to go there,” Morrison explained. The three-star corner back in known for his physicality and willingness to hit.

The next week the Wildcats got four verbals in just four days.

The running back position was bolstered as the Wildcats added their fourth running back of the class when Louisiana’s Orlando Bradford pulled the trigger. The 5-9, 195 pounder has a nice mix of power and quickness that led him to rush for almost 1,200 yards and 17 scores as a junior at Shrieveport’s Calvary Baptist.

“I can play with power and speed, I’m good with it all,” Bradford said.

is commitment not only gives the Wildcats further exposure into the fertile Louisiana talent pool, but he is also a high school teammate of Wildcat commit Shea Patterson, who took to twitter to congratulate Bradford. Patterson is verbally committed but appears to still be looking at his options. Patterson committed to Arizona last summer but has become a hot prospect, drawing interest from most of the top schools in the nation.

Bakersfield, CA/Liberty HS athlete Anthony Mariscal became the fourth defensive player to commit to Arizona. Although he up big numbers at running back, the Wildcats seem to like him more at safety.

Last Friday saw two players commit within hours of each other. First tight end Brion Anduze made his verbal pledge. The Washington native chose Arizona over the service academies and academics were a key.

“Arizona was also a good fit academically because they have a fantastic business program as well,” Anduze said, also pointing out the great relationship he has forged with the coaching staff.

Later that afternoon another versatile athlete committed. This time it was Moreno Valley’s Cedric Peterson. Peterson can play a variety of positions, but will play receiver for the Wildcats.

“I chose them because the coach staff is great," Peterson said. "I loved how they have everything planed out as far as academics go and I just felt at home with them."

The Wildcats now have 14 verbal commitments in the 2015 class, as well as three more players who will be added to the class after taking grayshirts this upcoming season.
