Have a few free hours, and looking for something to do? Enjoy working with people? Come join us at Catalina Community Services, and make a difference in peoples’ lives by helping with a community project or program. Join us in improving lives and inspiring futures.

Catalina Community Services is an award winning non-profit social service organization primarily driven by volunteers. CCS serves the northwest and southeast Pima county areas in a wide variety of ways. Let us help you find a way to connect in the community and make some new friends.

Our volunteer coordinator can assist you in finding just the right job to suit your interests and time availability. Below is a list of opportunities.

Please phone our Volunteer Coordinator (825-0009) for more ideas and information, or stop by during business hours, Mon-Fri, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., 3535 E. Hawser Street, Tucson, Ariz.

Some of our volunteer opportunities include:

The Food Bank: Customer Service, sorting and bagging in the warehouse, sponsor or organize a food drive, drive to Marana to pick up produce or pick up food donations from local stores and restaurants.

The Clothing Bank: Customer service, sorting clothes, organizing the clothing store.

Senior Programs: Help staff prepare hot mid-day meals, Serve lunch in our dining room, deliver mid-day meals, once a week, to home bound seniors, plan a senior activity, drive a senior to an appointment, help with data entry at the Senior Center.

Youth & Education Programs: Be a teacher’s aide for an ESL (English as a Second Language) class, teach a citizenship or GED course, read to young children, join our Junior Achievement team, lead a summer activity for families, tutor school children, pick up donated books, share a talent or knowledge in a Community Workshop.

General Help: Work at a fundraiser, staff an off-site food drive, work at the Youth Day Fair in March.
