According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), three out of four child safety seats are improperly installed. Others say the number may be as high as 98 percent. The wide variety of child restraint systems, belt systems and passenger vehicle configurations can make the proper installation of a child’s car seat a challenge. However, incorrectly installed seats put children at risk for serious injuries.

Some of the downtown businesses also offer specials or their own entertainment. It’s family friendly and fun for all ages. Many of the vendors and sponsors have drawings during the evening.

The Tucson Beer Cup will runneth over at the Third Annual Born & Brewed competition, the original Tucson craft beer festival, held at the historic Hotel Congress. Nine Tucson breweries enlisted to challenge Dragoon Brewing Company’s hold on the Cup along with their IPA’s title as Tucson’s Best Craft Beer, as voted by the ticketholders. In addition to the challengers bringing their best brews to overthrow the reigning champ, Four Peaks Brewing Company and Beast Brewing Company are presenting their delicious brews to show what the rest of Arizona’s craft brewers are up to. Ticket holders are benefiting from the spirit of friendly competition as they get to sip the suds of over 20 local brews starting at 7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 19 on the Hotel Congress plaza.
