When he complains about Republicans not providing enough money for the schools this is in actuality a statement that school district administration officials are top heavy and determined to bankrupt our school system with unsustainable pension costs. Like the previous posters said, let's have transparency and accountability. Ever heard of a power point presentation with an item-by-item statement of the school budget. That is, if there are any people in the district who can do a power point or have the motivation to attempt it.
Note to School officials in Arizona; don't spend taxpayer money with yearly increases expecting to be bailed out eventually by the Feds pushing Common Core as leverage. We don't need more students lacking in the skills of Reading, Writing, and mathematics going to college to major in French literature or some other feel-good worthless degree in the warm and fuzzy humanities.
I wish Dave would address the problem of where the current education money is being spent. Why would any reasonable Legislature throw good money after bad ? Private schools seem to be doing a good job with less dollars per pupil than the Government schools. Homeshcools do even better with the dollars. Waste not, want not.
What a bunch of baloney. The Democrats do exactly the same thing all the time, in every state they run, in every city, and especially in Washington. Talk to Obama....he will explain why he mainly supports the laws he likes and from which the Democrats can get some political hay.
