    It does seem a bit too intrusive to have an officer check your phone after he or she stopped you for just driving a car with a non-working tail light. We should have some privacy, unless there is other evidence in play, like aggression, devious behavior, or suspicious actions. Then...in this type of case, the officer may have some cause to see if the individual is a drug dealer or felon.
