What a catastrophic mess the Obamacare legislation has caused. Such an ill conceived, badly framed law, giving exemptions to some while oppressing others with high deductibles, increased premiums, loss of doctors, and a nightmare of forced regulations. The architect of this monstrosity lies squarely on Obama and his party, as well as his adoring followers, Democratic Party media hacks, and pundits. There is absolutely no way this law will be repealed, in spite of the destruction it has wrought to our health care system. Reasoned reforms were not considered by this president, and as a Marxist socialist ideologue, the enactment of his law was forced through Congress like the Communist 5 year economic plans of Stalin's Russia. The Russian people knew they would not work, but intimidation and fear are instruments of tyranny and useful to rule the majority. We Americans do not roll over so fast, but it will take much work in the future to undue what this inept president and his party has brought upon the American people in a few short years.
What a great column. The points made by the author will sadly become clearer and clearer as this year goes by. We are rapidly approaching a time when we the people will have to be heard. Obamacare is lousy law and it must be repealed. We need a better answer. Surely there are people in this country who can come up with a better solution. Thank you Mr. Brinkley for your sound and reasoned opinion.
