(May 7) Today's Top Headlines - Terrorist attack leaves 300 Nigerians dead

NBC News:

At least 300 are dead in the Nigerian border town of Gamboro Ngala after Islamist militants set homes and shops on fire and shot indiscriminately into a crowd at a busy marketplace.

The attack was said to have lasted approximately 12 hours, as reported by ThisDay newspaper.

The Boko Haram terrorist network is the group assumed to be responsible for the attack. This is the same group that claimed responsibility for the kidnapping of 276 Nigerian teenage girls.
