Would Mr Kerry mind if we, the citizens of our country, ask if the government is positive it was not the rebels who launched the chemical weapons? Syria was winning against the rebels, so the Assad regime had no motive to use chemical warfare and risk bringing the US into their civil war. But perhaps, as we slept over the last several nights, the Obama administration had already made up its mind to enter the fray, intentionally or (unintentionally?) propping up the Muslim Brotherhood, whichever narrative you would like to believe. Remember the Spanish American War, when saboteurs or an accidental explosion sunk the USS Maine? What a convenient situation for the politicians and corporations invested in the agri-business market! The Maine incident was blamed on Spain to the delight of bored politicians in search of a war, and passion for war was inflamed by the ruthless and ignoble mainstream media of that time. Young men were soon off to war. What is happening now? Do our politicians want to keep America at war forever? This Syrian situation, casualties aside, sounds like a deliberate made to order event designed to engage in another theatre of war.....which we could and should avoid.
