The Marana Community Food Bank has launched a “community partner” program, recruiting area businesses as designated drop-off locations for food donations in the Northwest.

Community partners “will join hands with the Marana Community Food Bank to help the community in time of need,” a release said. “Requests for emergency food boxes are up dramatically, and this is the time of the year when donations are at their lowest level.”

Current community partner locations are:

Kenpo Karate, 7575 West Twin Peaks #125; The Golf Villas at Oro Valley, 10950 N. La Canada; Keva Juice, 8250 N. Cortaro Rd., #110; National Bank of Arizona, 11853 W. Marana Rd.; Package Express, 3773 W. Ina, #150; Gary Nicholl, State Farm Insurance agent, 9110 N. Silverbell, #170; Integrity Automotive, 6621 N. Thornydale; Oro Valley Ace Hardware, 11921 N. First; and SaddleBrooke Unity 47 Community Out-Reach Program, (520) 818-0194.
