M&I Bank branches in the Northwest and the Tucson Police Foundation are recognizing and thanking greater Tucson law enforcement officers with events on Tuesday, June 2, the first anniversary of the fatal shooting of Tucson police officer Erik Hite.

All six M&I locations in Southern Arizona are hosting free meals for any law enforcement officer who visits throughout the day June 2. A number of businesses are providing food and services.

People are encouraged to bring thank-you cards to M&I offices, where they'll be displayed June 2. There's also an oversized card for signing at branches.

Donations are being accepted to benefit the Tucson Police Foundation. Thank A Cop bumper stickers are available.

"Every day these brave men and women risk their lives for local residents, and we want to sincerely let them know just how much their service and dedication is appreciated," said Tom Thaller, M&I Bank senior vice president and Southern Arizona market manager.

Among the involved offices are those at River and Campbell, Wilmot and Speedway, Houghton and Broadway, Oracle and First in Oro Valley, Cortaro and Silverbell in Marana, and I-19 and Continental in Green Valley.
