Starting next month, several Northwest-area county library branches will offer the United Way Earned Income Tax Credit Task Force-VITA and AARP tax preparation assistance programs geared for low- and middle-income individuals and families.

Residents can check the library’s Web site, www.library.pima.gov, for a listing of tax information and other resources to assist them with tax preparation.

Tax forms also can be printed from the IRS Web site at libraries for a minimal fee.

The following Northwest locations will offer AARP tax preparation services beginning Feb. 1:

• Nanini Branch Library, 7300 N. Shannon Road; noon to 4 p.m. Mondays and Tuesdays

• Oro Valley Public Library, 1305 W. Naranja Drive; call 229-5300 for schedule

• Wheeler Taft Abbett Sr. Branch Library, 7800 N. Schisler Drive; 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Fridays

Also, already underway, the Geasa-Marana Branch Library, 13370 N. Lon Adams Road, is offering the United Way program from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. Tuesdays.
