Twin Peaks, Coachline

A new traffic signal has been activated in the Continental Ranch subdivision at the intersection of Twin Peaks Road and Coachline Boulevard in Marana.

It went on line last week.

Before its installation, the intersection operated as a four-way stop. During this traffic control change, motorists traveling in the area are advised to use caution and obey all new traffic control signals, markings and signage.

To ensure the safety of area elementary school students, the Arizona Department of Transportation and Marana committed to have the intersection operational prior to the start of the new school year in August. This project "will also provide new crosswalks along Twin Peaks Road, to accommodate students and other pedestrians in the intersection and roadway," a release said.

Interstate 10: Town of Picacho to Picacho Peak Road

The Arizona Department of Transportation is continuing with paving and improvements on I-10 near Picacho. From 8 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 1 to 6 a.m. Monday, Aug. 2, westbound I-10 from milepost 219 to milepost 213 is scheduled for intermittent lane restrictions for striping. One lane of traffic will remain open at all times.
