Sheriff seeks pair of NW bank robbers

The Pima County Sheriff's Department is looking for two suspects who robbed separate Northwest banks on Friday, July 23.

The first robbery happened at approximately 1:50 p.m., when a male suspect entered the US Bank located at 4752 E. Sunrise Drive. He demanded money from the teller and fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.

The suspect is described as a Caucasian male, 45 to 55 years old, between 5 feet 7 inches and 5-11.

Also on Friday, at approximately 2 p.m., a female suspect entered the Bank of America at 7130 N. Oracle Road and demanded money.

She gave a bank teller a note that implied she had a weapon. The suspect took an undisclosed amount of money and left the bank in a red sedan, described as resembling a Mazda 3.

The suspect is described as a Caucasian or Hispanic female, 20 to 25 years old, 5-2 to 5-4 in height.

Anyone with information regarding the bank robberies or a possible identities of the suspects is asked to contact Detective Burns with the Pima County Sheriff's Department at 351-4592, 247-4050 or 88-CRIME.
