ORO VALLEY

On Friday, April 23, at 8 p.m., Oro Valley police responded to the Circle K convenience store at Oracle and Hardy roads, where a high school student reported that a classmate had assaulted him in the parking lot of Canyon Del Oro High School. The teen who reported the assault told police that he and the other student had feuded over the outcome of a dodge ball game. One student became angered and punched the other in the face, the teen told police. Police could not locate the other teen for questioning. The teen who reported the incident told police he did not want to press charges. No arrests were made.

On Saturday, April 24, at 10 p.m., Oro Valley police responded to the Chevron gas station on Oracle Road near Magee Road. A store employee reported that two teenaged boys entered the store and ran out carrying two 30-packs of Bud Light beer. The store employee was unable to identify the boys. No arrests were made.

On Sunday, April 25, at 11 p.m., Oro Valley police questioned a homeless man who had asked for a ride to mid-town Tucson. The man told police his name, but after consenting to a search of his possessions, police found an identification card that revealed the man was not who he said. Running a check of his real name, police found that the man had a warrant for his arrest. Police also found a crack pipe in the man's pocket. The man was placed under arrest for making a false report to police and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was taken to the Pima County Adult Detention Center.

MARANA

On Monday, April 13, at 2 a.m., Marana police responded to the Old Father Inn on Ina Road where a man reported an assault. Upon arrival police found the man and a friend, who recounted how a man in the bar accidentally bumped into his friend while the two played billiards. The two men then exchanged unfriendly words. The man who called the police said he and his friend decide to leave the bar, at which time the other man and friend accosted them in the parking lot of the bar and took a pool cue from them. The man then threw the pool cue at the other man, striking him in the arm and breaking the cue in four pieces. The suspect then got into his truck and drove away. Police later tracked down the man, who had a warrant for his arrest. He denied any involvement in the fight. He was placed under arrest on a charge of assault and take to the Pima County Adult Detention Center.

On Sunday, April 19, at 12 p.m., Marana police responded to a medical office complex near La Cholla Boulevard and Orange Grove Road, where a nurse had called on behalf of a patient who thought she could have been sexually assaulted. The woman later told police that she had been out for dinner with some friends the night before but had no remembrance of what happened. She told police that at one point in the night a man asked if he could buy her drink. She refused. She told police that she didn't remember anything beyond that, but did have a slight recollection of getting in a car accident. Police records showed that she had been in an accident and arrested for DUI. She told police that she was unsure if she had been sexually assaulted but felt "sticky" and wanted to get checked out. At this point, police were unable to ascertain if she had been assaulted. No arrests were made.
