A temporary use permit has been granted by the Marana Town Council for a trucking company to store vehicles within a fenced yard off Massingale Road.

Arizona Trucking and Materials asked permission to store between 15 and 50 vehicles on a vacant lot at 4863 W. Massingale Rd.

Massingale Road, as well as a frontage road paralleling Interstate 10, would be used for access. No permanent structures would be installed.

The company provides dump truck and hauling services to regional contractors. The site is "a great location for my company," said managing member Dana Dellheim, because much of its current work is on road, railroad and highway projects in the Northwest.

Activity would be allowed from 5 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday. There is a nearby residential neighborhood within unincorporated Pima County. Plans are to locate vehicles "as far away as possible from the residential neighborhood," according to town staff.

The temporary use permit is good for nine months, with a 1-year extension available.
