On Friday, April 1, Pima County Sheriff’s responded to a robbery at the Walgreen’s located at Ina and Oracle roads. Deputies noticed a car matching the description given by a witness traveling westbound on Ina, prompting police to follow the vehicle.

The struck vehicle traveled through the wall and came to a stop inside the garage. The victim, 73-year-old Joseph Marques, was transported to a local hospital, where he died from injuries sustained in the accident.
Police continued to pursue the suspect for a short distance. The suspect’s vehicle came to a stop and the suspect ran off on foot.
