On Oct.19, 2011, the Oro Valley Police Department responded to the area of Northern and Magee in response to a road rage incident.

The victim, who had two young children in the car, reported leaving a grocery store when a black Volkswagen cut them off.

The driver of the Volkswagen pulled to the side of the roadway and brandished a weapon and then shot and struck the victim’s vehicle. The victim was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries sustained from shattered glass. There were no other injuries reported in this incident.

On April 18, 2013, OVPD received additional information on this case that lead to the arrest of Blass Delmissier Gonzales. On June 17, Gonzales, a 38-year-old male, was indicted on one, class two felony of drive-by shooting.
