IRHS students sell bracelets to assist shooting victims
Students from Ironwood Ridge High School will be selling these white bracelets that read, “Remember 1.8.11” at the Safeway at Ina and Oracle roads Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Proceeds from the bracelets will benefit a victims’ fund to help those affected by the mass shooting on Jan. 8.
Ironwood Ridge High School junior Micah Wenzel, left, junior Heather O’Connor and senior Jill Magnuson sell bracelets to Safeway stocker Shayne Spude last weekend at the grocery store’s location at Ina and Oracle roads. Sales of the bracelets have raised more than $20,000 for the Tucson Tragedy Victims’ Fund.
