Small communities can do big things. The Town of Marana is proof.
Consumer advocacy site NerdWallet analyzed more than 900 cities for affordability, growth, and economic vitality to determine the best small cities and towns in the nation and placed Marana 14th (http://www.nerdwallet.com/blog/cities/economics/best-small-cities-live-in/). NerdWallet staff considered population and income growth, percentage of population with health insurance coverage, housing affordability and poverty rates.
“We’re proud to be considered one of the nation’s top small communities and pledge to continue our commitment to a great quality of life in Marana,” Town Manager Gilbert Davidson said.
Last November, NerdWallet named Marana the eighth-best place in Arizona for job-seekers and, this past March, it placed the Town seventh in the state for home ownership.
