Marana police are investigating an armed robbery that took place at the Wells Fargo Bank, on the corner of Tangerine Road and Dove Mountain Boulevard, Wednesday, April 27.

Sgt. Jose Alvarez said around 5 p.m. a teller from the bank called 9-1-1 after an unidentified man entered the premises with a handgun demanding money.

The suspect took an unknown amount of money, heading north from the bank.

Alvarez said the suspect has not yet been apprehended because he has not been identified. At the time of the robbery he was wearing a mask and gloves.

He is believed to be a white male, but Alvarez said they are reviewing tapes and following up on leads at this point.
