A fundraiser took place at Sauce and Frost on June 4 for 14-year-old cancer patient, Austin Thacker, who is fighting non-Hodgkin's Diffused Mature B Cell Lymphoma.

"We had an outstanding turn out from the community," said Scott Billings, a family friend to the Thacker family. "With the proceeds from Sauce and Frost and with the raffles and donations we were just shy of making $7,100. The night went phenomenally well."

The fundraiser started at 5 p.m. but the raffle began around 4:30 p.m. Any Moto donated a motorcycle helmet to be auctioned off which raised $900. Both Frost and Sauce were packed and had a line going around the alleyway of Sauce, according to Billings.

"I want to give a big thank you to Frost and Sauce. Both gave great service and I know that Sauce over staffed for the night so things would run smoothly," said Billings. "We appreciate them both for helping us out."

A website dedicated to raising funds for Austin, called Austin's Army, has made around $8,200 so far. Donations are always accepted and can be given at gofundme.com/2pwoqc. Another place people can donate is to the Austin Thacker Donation Fund, which is available at any Wells Fargo Bank. So far the fund has made around $6,000.

Austin was able to return home a couple days ago from the hospital and the family is hoping that he won't need to return until June 13 when he will receive chemotherapy for the third time, according to Austin's Army gofundme page.
