While it's clear that Republican Jeff Flake will move on to face Democrat Richard Carmona, the race for Pima County Board of Supervisor, District 1 is still close with Republican Ally Miller currently leading her primary opponents.

Miller currently leads with 59.3 percent of the precincts reporting. Miller leading Mike Hellon by more than 1,000 votes.

In Congressional District 1 there were no surprising as Jonathan Paton is cruising to the Republican nomination, while Ann Kirkpatrick won the Democratic primary.

Earlier on Facebook, Kirkpatrick said she is humbled.

"To me, the people of this district are more than voters. You are my friends and neighbors -- my extended family," said Kirkpatrick. "I will be deeply honored to represent you as the Democratic nominee for Congressional District One."

In a provided statement Paton said, "I can’t say enough to thank you for all your help and hard work – it’s been critical. The general election starts right now, and we have a lot of work ahead of us. As you know, this race is extremely important for the future of our state and our country. Again, thanks for everything you’ve done and continue to do. I wouldn’t have made it this far without you."
