Pima Community College Chancellor Lee D. Lambert has been invited to join the Executive Committee of the Arizona Manufacturing Partnership, which connects industry and educators to facilitate workforce development in manufacturing.
“I am honored to work with the Arizona Manufacturing Partnership at this critical moment in the state’s development of a robust manufacturing sector by training students to meet the industry’s highest standards,” Chancellor Lambert said.
“Chancellor Lambert’s unique perspective regarding the need to connect the state’s manufacturers with Career and Technical Education programs in K-12 and community colleges makes him a great fit for AMP,” said Dante O. Fierros, AMP co-chair and president of Nichols Precision in Tempe. “His guidance will benefit students, industry and the state’s economy.”
Chancellor Lambert will participate in the group’s Education Interface Committee, which is co-chaired by Thomas Tyree, president of the Arizona State Board of Education and Yuma County school superintendent, and Dan Brown, the Arizona Department of Education’s deputy associate superintendent for Career and Technical Education.
Chancellor Lambert is board chair of the National Coalition of Certification Centers and is a founding member of the Manufacturing Institute Education Council.
