On July 19, 2014, at approximately 11:00 a.m., Foothills District deputies responded to the Wells Fargo Bank, located at 3733 W. Cortaro Farms Road, reference an armed robbery. When deputies arrived, they learned a male entered the bank, implied he had a weapon, and gave a handwritten note to the teller. The suspect was given an undisclosed amount of money and was last seen running across the parking lot towards a nearby neighborhood. Deputies searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect.

The suspect is described as:

  •  Caucasian male
  •  Late 30’s to early 40’s
  •  Wearing a red hooded sweatshirt with "Wisconsin" on the front and dark colored sweatpants.

The Sheriff’s Department Robbery/Assault Unit responded and took over the investigation. Anyone with information regarding this incident is urged to call 9-1-1 or 88-CRIME.
