The Avra Valley Fire District responded to Park Link Dr and Pecan Rd for a swift water rescue around 4:20 p.m. Friday.

With storms surrounding the Northwest region, washes filled quickly.

The Avra Valley Fire District responded to the emergency call, finding a vehicle in the wash with water up to its windows and two elderly women and a dog trapped inside.

Units on scene were able to successfully get both the woman and the dog out of the vehicle within five to seven minutes upon arrival on scene.

No injuries were reported.
