The Marana Unified School District announced the selection of Pamela Beine as assistant superintendent for the district.
During their regularly-scheduled meeting on Feb. 14, the Marana Unified School District Governing Board voted 5-0 to hire Pamela Beine as the assistant superintendent, effective July 1.
Beine will assume the position following the retirement of Jan Truitt, who is retiring after 35 years with the Marana Unified School District.
Beine has 34 years of experience in education as a teacher and administrator in four states and Canada. Beine is currently the principal at DeGrazia Elementary School. Prior to DeGrazia, she was the principal at Picture Rocks Intermediate.
Before joining the Marana community in 2009, her experience included school leadership roles at the preschool, elementary, and secondary levels in Washington and California. In addition, her years of experience include serving as an adjunct professor at Seattle Pacific University.
“I am honored to serve Marana Unified at the district level and be part of an innovative team that promotes a world-class education for learners and that facilitates professional growth of all staff, propelling MUSD to state of the art excellence,” said Beine. “In my future role as assistant superintendent, I am committed to ensuring our students’ success through professional, well-trained educators, committed building leaders, and the enhancement of best practices through a successful professional learning community model.”
