Driver killed in early-morning rollover

The Northwest Fire District responded to a single vehicle rollover this morning on Avra Valley road approximately a quarter of a mile west of Interstate 10.

After being dispatched at 4:02 a.m., the first arriving Engine Company found a single Chevrolet Pick-up that had rolled off the roadway with a young male driver still within the vehicle.

The occupant was pronounced dead at the scene. The Driver was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident.

According to the Pima County Sheriff's Department, the driver has been identified as 27-year-old Cordi Aaron Perry.

Sheriff's detectives believe Perry was driving westbound on Avra Valley Road when he git the guardrail and lost control.
