Updated

On September 21, 2013, at 6:35 p.m., Pima County Sheriff deputies responded to the Safeway located at the intersection of Ina and Oracle in reference an armed robbery.

When deputies arrived, they learned that two suspects, a male and female, entered the store at 6:00 p.m.

A Safeway loss prevention officer observed the female suspect place two bottles of liquor into her purse, as her companion stood by.

When the suspects walked out of the store, the loss prevention officer stepped in front of them and identified himself. The female reached into her purse and pulled out an electronic stun gun device. This incapacitated the store employee and both suspects left the area in a white vehicle.

The female suspect is described as:

• Light skinned African American

• Wearing a green shirt, jean shorts, and black tennis shoes

The male suspect is described as:

• Hispanic

• Wearing a black t-shirt, jeans, and a black hat
