Kelsey Zormeier is one of the children who will be impacted by the new booster-seat law. The five-year-old had no problem buckling up last week. The new law, which requires children between ages four and eight, goes into effect on Aug. 2.
Not meeting the four foot, 10-inch height requirement, six-year-old Amy Grimes will now be sitting in a booster seat in accordance with the new state law.
