Oro Valley

On Friday, March 23, at about 8:56 p.m. Oro Valley police responded to a report of vandalism at James Kreigh Park at 23 W. Calle Concordia. The reportee, a Town parks and recreation employee said he heard a loud crash come from the bathroom and then saw four subjects run to a car and then drive away. In the bathroom police found a large boulder on the ground in a stall next to a stainless steel toilet. Police did notice new dents on the seat on the toilet that was mounted to the wall. The toilet seemed to flush properly without any leaks. If it did need to be replaced, the reportee valued the replacement at $1,500.

On Thursday, March 22, about 12:06 a.m., Oro Valley police responded to a call of suspicious activity on the 2000 block of West Arizona Rose Drive. The victim said that two cars came near her house, a person got out of the car, and then ran up her driveway and slammed himself into the garage door. He then ran back to the cars and the two cars left. She described to police a truck and a vehicle she had seen leaving and police photographed the large dent in her garage door. She was issued her victim’s rights.

On Monday, March 19, Oro Valley police received numerous calls about cars being broken into and things stolen from them. Each vehicle was not damaged and appeared to have been left unlocked. One person near Oracle Road and Rams Field Pass reported a $400 meter missing from his vehicle along with some prescription medication. Another call from near La Cañada and Naranja drives reported about $3 in change was taken from her vehicle. A third report from near La Cholla Blvd. and Naranja Drive reported a $125 drill, a level, a tape measure, tool bag and a spare key, each valued at about $10. A fourth vehicle was reported broken into near La Cañada Drive and Lambert Lane. The victim said he was missing a pair of work gloves, a utility knife, gate remote control and some loose change, all valued at about $47. Victim’s rights were given to each person.
