Oro Valley

On Saturday, Sept. 29, at 8:45 a.m., Oro Valley police responded to the Peter Piper Pizza at 7621 N. Oracle Rd. in response to criminal damage and possible theft. The assistant manager told police there was a water leak from the back of the building. Police noticed that someone had cut the covering over the pipes and had also cut the chain on the valves. On Friday, Sept. 28, at about 9:45 a.m., Oro Valley police were informed that a student at Canyon Del Oro High School had marijuana. Police searched him and found a small amount in his wallet. He told police that he was holding it for a friend but didn’t want to tell who that person was. After searching the student’s phone for phone calls and text messages, they found who had given him the drugs and called his grandmother. He was arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana. Police then called the other student who they found in the first student’s phone. He admitted to bringing one bag of marijuana to school to sell to the other student. After searching his phone, police found that he had brought more marijuana to sell to another student. He was arrested for possession for sale of marijuana. Police then found the third student and asked to search his bag, which he offered and said he had nothing to do with the buying, selling or doing of any marijuana. Police found a marijuana pipe in his bag. He told police he was holding it for one of the students who police had talked to earlier. He was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia.
