SkipS: This is one of the most idiotic things I have seen in a long time. I can't see how this is supposed to improve efficiency when drivers on Ina now have to go through three stop lights before making a u-turn to wait for another stop light to make a right turn onto Oracle. The problems at that intersection were specifically the amount of cars trying to turn from westbound Ina onto northbound Oracle, and from eastbound Ina to northbound Oracle, during rush hour. Both issues could have been resolved with installing double turn lanes like there are on Oracle; a Michigan left was not necessary. I predict a drop in business at the businesses near that intersection in the next year. Would be good if the Explorer could report on that in a year or two.

ThinkMyWay: Is not the main problem at Oracle/Ina that northbound Oracle traffic backs up on Oracle south of the intersection and on Ina east of the intersection during rush hour? If so, how do the U-turns apply?
I doubt the competence of those who'll be controlling the timing of the traffic signals. If these various signals are not synched to perfection...

Don: How does an intersection implement?
And if that isn't confusing enough, the poor 911 operators are going to have a field day trying to determine if an accident is in the intersection east, west or north of the intersection. I guess if you are south of the intersection you call the border patrol. "Looney" is a good descriptor.

ThinkMyWay: I just hope the new U-turns are at least one mile east/west of Oracle, since that's how far traffic gets backed up on Ina during rush hours.
Now, the Ina traffic gets a new, extra traffic light too!

rich2481: I cannot see how this is going to work during rush hour and people making U-turns in front of East bound or west bound traffic,, it is already a bear with people coming out of Safeway parking lot and zipping across traffic. I have lived here for 32 years and seems like every time I turn around some other idiot move is made.

Thoughtprocess: So, the winners here think the next 20-30 years will bring another 30,00 vehicle. Beings they "think" that, it should happen in about half that time, then what ?Bob Roggenthen, Annabelle Valenzuela and any other brain deads that thought this up are as smart as the pavement getting put down. Why not PLAN for the future ? This area needs planning, roads and overpasses. The stupidity that runs Pima County and Tucson continues to amaze me. How in the hell do they find their way to and from work every day?

Empire: STUPID! So instead of one maneuver to get through the intersection, we will now have to make three, and the traffic congestion is bound to get worse, with all the cars staying in the area waiting to make their U-turns. Our area is run by Liberal Idiots.
