Regarding the House Bill 2625 about to be voted upon by the Arizona Senate: whether or not a woman takes birth control pills or treatments is nobody's business but her own, especially not the business of employers or employees that want to shove their religious beliefs and restrictions on others. In spite of religious zeal, if you can't afford to care for a child for at least 20 years, you should think twice before conceiving of one ( or more).
What we need in our society is realization that over-population is putting a strain on our planet's resources. As. UNited Nations studies have discovered, as soon as more women in more places in the world realize that they can decide on the size of their family and are given the resources to do so, the world's population will begin to stabilize. President Obama realizes this, of course, but does the Arizona Senate?
It is truly impressive that people want to stand up and carry out their beliefs in their work place. We need to honor their sincerity. Think about what "pro-life" would really mean in our society that spends so much on weapons systems, drone bombers, and cruel border practices. Let's think deeply about these things!
