Oro Valley Police seek public assistance in finding missing woman

The Oro Valley Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating Janet M. Rennspies. Rennspies is described as a 51 year old white female, 5 feet, 05 inches, 125 pounds, with blonde hair and blue eyes.

Rennspies was last seen by her family on Nov. 21 in the morning hours and had not returned home by that evening, when they became concerned and contacted OVPD.

OVPD placed an attempt to locate out in Pima and Pinal county on Rennspies. On Nov. 22 when she still had not been located she was entered into the national computer system as missing.

Family members located Rennspies vehicle on Mt. Lemmon in the parking lot of the observatory, and at this time OVPD contacted the Pima County Sheriff’s Department to assist with the investigation.

Search of the Mount Lemon area is ongoing by the Pima County Sheriff’s Departments Search and Rescue unit, Southern Arizona Rescue Association (SARA), Southwest Rescue Dogs, and Border Patrol Search, Trauma, and Rescue (BORSTAR).

If anyone has seen Rennspies or has any information on her whereabouts they are asked to contact Oro Valley Police Department at 229-4900, 88-crime or 9-1-1
