Safeway Store Manager Mike Hennings has a laugh with coworker and baker Tracy Marsac last week. After 42 years with the company and with much resistance from his coworkers and people in the community, Hennings is retiring. His last day will be this Saturday.
After retiring this week, Mike Hennings plans to travel and dabble in collecting art.
From raising money for local schools and programs to losing his wife to Leukemia and meeting his current wife, Safeway Store Manager Mike Hennings has had support from his coworkers and customers near and far.
At the age of 24, Mike Hennings became a store manager and has been one ever since. He is retiring at the age of 57.
Mike Hennings has been described as always having a positive outlook on life.
